Wholehearted congratulations to Ian McGowan, Mark Tinker and Scott Thomson for taking on and completing this challenge. On the 1st tee at 5:00 am this morning the three intrepid golfers finally walked off the 18th green at 9:50 pm having played 72 holes in mostly atrocious weather. The weather was so bad that the course was closed to mere mortals in the afternoon. With the best two scores counting at each hole the Strathmore version of the Three Musketeers recorded stableford scores of 69, 76, 79 and 76. This feat of endurance, especially in the weather conditions encountered today, deserves to be recognised and the best way to do so would be to sponsor their efforts if you have not already done so.
