Announcement

The Committee have been advised that Chris Flanagan is unable to commit the time to complete the duties required as Competition Secretary. This due to increased work commitments. Chris will remain on the committee and I would like to thank Chris for all his work over the past two years. In the short term the Vice Captain will be responsible for the weekly draws in the short term and any questions about this should be directed to him. The committee are now looking for a Competition Secretary from the earliest possible date. Full training and support will be given. Anyone interested should contact the either the Captain or Vice Captain.

Scratch League versus Murrayshall (Home Game)

The team to play the Scratch League game versus Murrayshall on Friday 3rd June 2016 at Strathmore Golf Centre.

The Race To Strathmore

It has been decided by the the Committee that a new competition be set up this year called the Race to Strathmore. This competition will be a points based competition based on certain competitions throughout the season. The medals which  will make up this competition are as follows:
April, May, June, July, August & September medals,
1st Round of the Club Championship
Captain's Charity Sweep
Captain's Day & Presidents Cup.
A total of 10 events which will attract points based on your score.
The top four players at the end of the competition will play in a knock out format (match play) over one day in September.

Vouchers

I have been asked to remind you all that if you have been lucky enough to win SGU vouchers last year they will expire at the end of June 2016. Please ensure that they are used prior to this date. The vouchers will be accepted in the pro shop at Strathmore.

Club Championship

As you may know the club championship qualifiers start next Saturday and are over 3 rounds this year with the two best rounds counting. Please ensure that if you cannot be available for the knock out stages can you please advise one of the committee prior to the draws being made. If you have any questions about this please speak to either the Captain or the Vice Captain in the first instance.

Fraser Fours

CONGRATULATIONS TO

Dawn & Ian Butchart who won the Fraser Fours with a net score of 69 with a better inward half from Diane & Gary McLuskey who also had a net score of 69

Rhoda Fraser and Eric Gray were third with a net score of 72

Twelve couples took part and Rhoda presented the trophy.

Catlaw Trophy Extra Medal 4 28th May 2016

Please note that this medal is a drawn competition. Can you ensure that if you wish to play you should put your name on the sheet in the green folder. If you are unable to get to the club prior to Thursday please contact the Competition Secretary to ensure that you are included in the draw.

Strathmore Golf Club vs Blairgowrie Golf Club (Away)

The annual match versus Blairgowrie will take place on Tuesday 7th June 2016 at The Blairgowrie Golf Club with a tee off at 17:30

The format of the match is a twelve man team playing Four-ball Better Ball.  The rules for the match is that the lowest handicap player will go to scratch and the other players in the game will receive 90% of the difference.

A meal will follow the match in the clubhouse.

The cost for the evening will be £9.00
