LONGEST DAY GOLF CHALLENGE

 SPREAD THE WORD 

On Friday July 2nd at 05:30hrs four hardy souls, Mike Easton, Scott Millar, Stephen McDiardmid and Ron leighton  will start out on the Longest Day Golf Challenge in aid of MacMillan cancer research   macmillan.org.uk

 The lads aim to complete 72 holes around the Rannaleroch course  to raise funds for this great charity. Although we don't expect anyone to be there to see them off, if you see them during the day please give them all the support (and cash!) they deserve. During the day the lads will be joined by players from each section of the club at various intervals. If you are free around 17:30hrs it would be great to see a few people there to encourage  them home over the last few holes.

Club Championship / Tankard Qualifier Rd 2 - Sunday 13th June 2021

This weekend players have a choice of competition in which to play in.  Players can choose to play in the Club Championship / Tankard Qualifier on Saturday or Sunday.  The Catlaw Trophy - 4 on Saturday is available as a medal round for players who wish to use Sunday as the Club Championship / Tankard Qualifying Day.

Please note that when you sign in on Saturday, that you sign in to the correct competition.  The competition you are entering must also be stated on the scorecard and on the entry fee envelope.

Players can only enter ONE competition on Saturday, entering both competitions would create a double entry on a playing record.

This is the 2nd qualifying round of the Club Championship / Tankard, the draw for the knockout stages will be made at 19:00 on Sunday evening.  If you cannot play in the knockout stages in either competition, please inform Norman Dyce by email, text or phone call.

 Another fine win on Tuesday in the march against Forfar

We won 2-1 at home and similarly 2-1 at Forfar

Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to the substitutes that helped out at short notice 

We are now 2 wins from 2 played and in with  a great chance  to qualify from the group with 3 games left to play

The next match is against Kirriemuir on June the 28th so please let Chris know or  sign up in the clubhouse if you are available. I would like to remind everyone this league is aimed at players of all abilities.

Strathmore League v Forfar

I'm sorry to have to report that once again there is a shortage of players signing up  for the next match against Forfar. Please let myself or Chris know if you are available to play. The Strathmore League is aimed at golfers of all abilities with 3 pairs teams  at home and 3 pairs teams away.    There is a soup and sandwich supper after the game for only £7.50. If there is a continuing lack of interest the committee will have no option to consider whether or not to enter this great competition next year. Finally if anyone would like to shed some light on why we struggle to get 12 players please feel free to let me know on 07900263855

In this format the lowest COURSE HANDICAP player concedes strokes to the other three players calculated on 90% of the difference between the COURSE HANDICAPS.
