2019 Club Championship

A week of matchplay golf in club championship sees the top two qualifiers meet in the final.  It's a battle of the Drive, No 8 vs No 15, young one vs old one. Good Luck guys.

Strathmore League vs Brechin - Result

On Tuesday 11th June another wee bit of history was created when Strathmore Golf Club played their first match in the Strathmore League against Brechin.  This is  a match where 3 matches are played at home and 3 matches away.  Unfortunately the inaugural match didn't get off to the start we would have wanted but all he matches were played in good spirit and good friendship was given in the clubhouse afterwards.  The photo records the Home Team after the match.

Scratch League vs Murrayshall GC

The final game in the Scratch League round robin saw a fantastic victory against a strong Murrayshall team. The result is shown below.  Unfortunately, we missed out on progressing to the knockout stages by one point.
However we can only look positively at this years scratch league and to the future with the inclusion of ladies and the prospect of having such a young team and more coming through the ranks.
I want to take this opportunity to send out a huge thank you to all the players who took part in this years competition, in sometimes horrible weather conditions and some playing their second round of the day. Thank you everyone.

KINPURNIE CUP RESULT

Well done to Sandy and Sally who won with a total of 42 stableford points second with 40 points were Anne and Ian. Nearest the pin on 6 was Sandra nearest on 13 was Mark.

The next mixed competition is the J Scott printers trophy on the 23rd of June.

Parker Crockart at 90 years young

This weekend Parker Crockart or just Parker turns 90 years young.  Parker joined Strathmore Golf Club in August 1996 and has been a stalwart of the club ever since.  A fierce competitor on the golf course and always a true gentleman.  When the putter was drawn from the golf bag like Excalibur, from 50 yards out, you just knew the ball was going close if not in the hole.

Parker, have a fantastic birthday and please accept the best wishes of the club and we wish you many more to come.

Inter Club Match vs Blairgowrie - Result

A big thank you to all who responded to take part in the inter club match against the big rivals from Blairgowrie Golf Club.  The match played in good spirit and we enjoyed good fun over the meal afterwards.  Thanks again, revenge will be all the sweeter next year.
