JUST A REMINDER THAT IT'S THE FIRST ROUND OF THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS NEXT WEEK, AND SECOND ROUND THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND WE ARE LOW ON ENTRIES FOR CHAMPIONSHIP AND TANKARD.
YELLOWS ARE FULLY BOOKED, BUT IF SOMEONE NEEDS A SPACE THEN GIVE ME A SHOUT AS I CAN'T PLAY IN QUALIFIERS (ZERO CHANCE OF ME QUALIFYING ANYWAY) BUT I WILL GIVE UP MY SPACE TO SOMEONE WHO CAN PLAY.
IF YOU CAN'T PLAY IN THE QUALIFIERS THEN LET ME KNOW SO I DON'T INCLUDE YOU IN THE DRAWS.
President's Day 2024
Our President Sally was unfortunately unable to be here today. We all wish her well for any future treatment and recovery as she is desperately frustrated not to be out golfing and seeing her Strathmore GC family.
We had a shotgun start at 9am and were blessed with sunny spells.
We had a field of 80 players with juniors integrating brilliantly into the draw and competing for all the spot prizes!
Huge thank you must go first to Sally for putting up all the prizes, a very generous contribution to the competition; Mike and Gavin who organised all the cards as they came in; Iain Butchart who organised the junior cards; Cathy and Sandra for placing all the spot prizes notices and spikes; the Greenkeeping team for such a well-kept course, some of whom were also playing and of course the Centre staff team who produced the most amazing hot and cold buffet spread.
