CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND TWO

The Competition Secretary would like to remind any golfer to let him know if they are unavailable for the knock out stages.
The Competition Secretary will be making the draw for the knock out stages on Sunday night and may be at the club all day, in which event a free Sunday Lunch from someone would not go amiss.
The knock out draw will be posted on the blog on Sunday night all being well.

I have been advised by the Competition Secretary that he will supply additional prizes for this Competition. This has been ratified at last months Committee meeting.
There will be at least two bottles of wine to be had and Mr Brian Duncan (good egg and top bloke) has donated a bottle of whiskey. The Competition Secretary has advised me that he will be the sole decision maker but everything will be above board as you would expect.
The more the merrier and everyone who has paid their club fees are entitled to enter.
This is a once in a lifetime offer from you Competition Secretary and will probably never repeated.

Match Against Blairgowrie
Our annual friendly match against Blairgowrie has been set at home for Tuesday 2nd July at 6pm. A 12 man team will be required to take part in this match,a sheet will be on the board on Wednesday night.

Captain's Day Results
On a gloriously sunny day 40 members attended Captain's Day to play golf in near perfect conditions. The course had been presented in superb condition, both physically and visually, and thanks go to the greenkeeping staff for their efforts. The catering staff provided a great buffet that was enjoyed by all. There was some good scoring in what turned out to be the Flannigan - McGregor show:

CAPTAIN'S DAY 8TH JUNE
I have have been advised by the Captain that he is happy for the Competition Secretary to complete the draw for Saturday. So the normal rules will apply. Please remember that the entry fee is £2.00 and it is a 10.30am tee time.
Now the good news. There will be at least 7 prizes on offer from the Captain (no Penfold commando golf balls please).
There will also be a buffet after the round for those who have competed. The better news it's free.
The sheet for this competition is located in the normal place but will be removed on Thursday at 12.00.

Due to a team and an admin error
the team of Tom Ogg, Gary McLusky and Brian Duncan finished with a nett 61.4 but it was not discovered until after the allocation of the prize monies.

Scratch League Victories
Our scratch league team recorded two impressive victories on successive evenings this week.
Thursday saw the re-arranged home match against King James VI with our team of Rory Tinker, Scott Thomson, Michael Brodie, Norman Dyce and Matthew Bell winning 3.5 - 1.5 in five tight games.
On Friday evening, with Chris Flannigan replacing Norman, our boys took on Dunkeld and Birnam in the scheduled home match running out 5 - 0 victors.
Two great back to back victories which will see our team progress to the quarter finals.
Well done and best of luck for the next matches!
