Ballantyne Cup - Sunday 28 April - Morning Tee Times Available

Please note, due to an oversight by the Captain, the availability of morning tee times for the Ballantyne Cup was not made known earlier. There are now a number of morning tee times available for the competition which takes the form of an individual mixed stableford. Any member wishing to play in the competition but unable to make the lunchtime tee times can play in the morning. Please indicate on the sign up sheet if you intend to play in the morning. Any members already having booked a tee time for next Sunday morning can play in the competition at their originally booked tee times but must indicate their participation in the competition beforehand. Further tee times are available between 0800hrs and 0900hrs. If in doubt, please contact the Captain or Mixed Convenors.

Today saw the first Mixed event of the year a fantastic turn out in very windy conditions                                      
                                        1st place Jackie and Frank Moran   39points                                                                    
                                        2nd place Sheena and Jack Scott     38points

Another Mail on Sunday win

Congratulations to our team of Norman Dyce, Scott Thomson, Chris Flannigan, Mark Scott and Rory  Tinker in securing a 3 - 2 victory over a strong Blairgowrie team today. A tense battle over the Lansdowne Course saw Norman, Scott and Chris win hard fought contests while Mark and Rory found their opponents just too strong on the day. Another great victory and well done to you all for flying the Strathmore flag high again.

We have been drawn against Blairgowrie away in the second round of this competition. Chris is looking for a 5 man team to represent the club.

The tie will be played on 14th April at 2.00pm

WINTER LEAGUE FINAL RESULTS & FINAL TIES

The Winter singles were won by Norman Dyce who defeated Neil Rae in the final

The Winter doubles was won by Hamish Mckelvie & Sandy Tosh. who defeated David Grant
& Ali Low.

The overall winner of the Winter league by a margin of 2 points was Ray Michie.

Second was Parker Crockatt & third was Mike Bell & Ken Mcleod.
Congratulations to all who took part and braved the winter conditions.
