WINTER KNOCK OUT COMPETITIONS
Good news. The knock out draws have been made today and are now on the notice board. Please ensure you keep within the deadlines for playing your match. For the avoidance of doubt and to ensure everyone is treated equally please refer to your membership book for all knock out rules. Please try and play your ties as quickly as possible. TROPHIES - Please return
The first batch of trophies for presentation at the prizegiving are now at the engravers. However, a number of trophies have not yet been returned. If you are in possession of any club trophies please return to the clubhouse asap in order that the engraving can be carried out prior to the AGM and prizegiving. Your assistance in this matter will be much appreciated.

END OF SEASON TEXAS SCRAMBLE
Sixteen teams took part today but due to the weather we had to play to winter greens but this did not detract from some good scoring.Winners as follows....
First Place........Team Birdie, Sheena,Jack and Mark Scott with a score of 55
Second Place....Brodie Bunch, Ron, Michael Brodie and Chris Brand with a score of 56.50
Third Place.......Keith's 2 Little B's......Sheila Bailey,Sandra Barber and Keith Ewan with a score of 56.53

WINTER LEAGUE
As you are all aware the winter league starts on Sunday 28th October. I will be placing the first nine weeks sheets in the relevant folder on Saturday 27th.
You will note that I have numbered the sheets can you please mark your envelopes with the relevant week you have entered.
I have agreed with Eric Gray that he will update the scores on a weekly basis and complete the handicap adjustments. I will notify the winners etc on the website and distribute the winnings.
Please refer to your fixture book for all the winter rules.

Sign up sheets for the winter competitions are now in the Winter competition folder in the clubhouse next to the PSI terminal. The Winter mixed sheet has been posted on the mixed notice board.
The competitions are:
Winter knockout Singles
Winter knockout doubles
Winter League
The entry fee is £1.00 per player per competition and these should be posted in the gents box in the clubhouse in a sealed envelope clearly marked with your name and the competitions entered. The closing date will be the 29th October. Entries not accompianed by the appropriate fee will not bwe entered in the draws.

Gents Section AGM
All gents members are reminded that the section AGM takes place in the clubhouse on Friday 19 October at 7pm. Any motions to be considered at the meeting should be forwarded to the Gent's Secretary, Fred Barber, or delivered to the clubhouse by 5pm on Tuesday 9 October.
Members are reminded that a number of vacancies will arise on the committee this year and nominations for new committee members will be on the agenda at the AGM. Nominations should be forwarded to the secretary or delivered to the clubhouse, as above.

NOT THE RYDER CUP RESULT
Not The Ryder Cup was played yesterday, this was a mixed competition where the Ladies challenged the Gents in a matchplay format. The Gents came out winners at the end of the day.
