Change to midweek competition - Wednesday 30 June

Due to the cancellation of the competition on Wednesday 16 June that was scheduled to be Card 3 in the Summer League, this has been re-scheduled to Wednesday 30 June. The stableford competition due to take place that day will not now take place.

Scratch League Team Defeated

Our Scratch League team finished their campaign with a defeat at King James tonight. It was our poorest result this year beaten 5-0. The team will be disappointed but there definitely is an improvement results have been closer this season . So well done the lads! Look forward positively.

Our Scratch League team consisting last night of Norman Dyce, Scott Thomson, Martin Mac Gillivary, Alan Easton and Rory Tinker were up against high quality opposition in the form of Craigiehill.
The match was lost 4-1 with Scott recording the solitary victory. By the sounds of it it was a tough match with some impressive scoring. One more match coming up against King James.

The inter-club match between Glenisla G.C. and ourselves was played yesterday evening and was won well five matches to one.

Strathmore Progress In The Bell Trophy

Our team tonight of Norman Dyce, Scott Thomson, Mark Tinker, Jerry Wood and Donald Thomson were successful with a 3-2 victory over Murrayshall at home. A comfortable victory for Jerry, a final hole victory for Norman added to a WO for Scott. Mark lost at the last after being two down with three to play and in his own words Donald fancied an early steak pie!
That means we are through to the last eight.

Cash for Kids Charity Gents Open

Congratulations to Craig McKenna and Martin MacGillivary who finished first and third respectively in the handicap section of the competition with nett scores of 68 and 69. Martin was pipped for second place on countback.

The CSS for home players was 71 and for visitors was 72.
