YOU HAVE TO HAVE PLAYED IN THREE COUNTING CLUB COMPETITIONS TO BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR THE KNOCKOUT STAGES OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. 

YOU CAN PLAY IN THE SATURDAY 1st AND 2nd ROUND COMPETITIONS, BUT CAN'T GO THROUGH TO THE KNOCKOUT STAGES.

NET COMPETITION WAS WON BY JIM URE WITH A 53

AND A WELL DONE TO BRUCE REDDEN WHO HAD HIS FIRST HOLE IN ONE ON THE NINTH. HE WAS A BIT WORRIED ABOUT HAVING TO BUY A BOTTLE FOR THE BAR.

Strathmore League

 

Our first match of the season in the Strathmore League kick off this weekend against Kingennie Golf Club with the below team chosen to represent the club both home & away.   Thanks for all those who have put their names forward to participate, much appreciated. Soup & sandwiches will be provided both at Strathmore & Kingennie following the matches.  An £8 contribution will be collected by Blair at home, and by Chris away. The format is 4BBB with strokes taken from the lowest man ff the white tees (Please note that this season there is a MAXIMUM OF 6 SHOTS given to any player) Play well and good luck! AS THIS IS THE 30th ANNIVERSARY OF STRATHMORE GOLF COURSE / CLUB OPENING, THE CENTRE HAVE PUT UP PRIZES FOR THIS EVENT.

THE CLUB WILL ALSO HAVE VOUCHERS FOR THIS SPECIAL EVENT WHICH IS ON SUNDAY 1st JUNE.

AS IT'S A 9 HOLE COURSE THERE WILL ONLY BE 36 SPACES ON A SHOTGUN START.

 A fabulous afternoon for golf and well done to the 16 couples for taking on the St Andrew's Foursome format.

In first place with an amazing score of 57 were Mary West and Matt Ritchie. 

Second with 64 were Rosie and Denis Elleray narrowly beating Donny Nairn and Louise McCann on count back.
