Draw for Turkey Trot Dec 2nd

Here is the Draw for Saturdays Turkey Trot, the format will be a stableford. 

The greens we play will be dependant on the course if we can we will play to the full greens.

Summer handicaps will apply. 

There is no meal prebooked for this due to the smaller numbers, however it would great if we all stayed for a bite and a social. The winner will receive a 25 pound Butchers gift certificate to the local butcher. ( Just in time for Christmas).

Gents Turkey Trot Dec 2nd

The sign up sheet for the Turkey trot is in the Winter league folder.
This is a 10 am start hopefully we will get a good turnout, great prizes to be won.
Look forward to seeing you for some pre Christmas cheer.

Winter League Singles and Doubles draw

The Winter league Singles and Doubles draw have now been done and are posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. Please note that the player at the top of any draw is the one to contact the lower player to set up the match. Also please note the completion dates; failure to meet the completion date will result in a coin toss decision by the committee.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2017

Winter Saturday Stableford

The committee has set up a Saturday Stableford competition which is open all day for you to participate in. There will be a book in the clubhouse,  which gives details of the competition, for you to enter your score after your round. There is no entry fee. Your handicaps will be amended to reflect your scoring. If you have any queries about this please contact the Captain in the first instance on the usual number.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LOVE PLAYING IN THE RAIN, WIND AND COLD AND WHO LOVE WEARING WATERPROOFS, WOOLLY HATS AND MITTS THIS IS THE COMPETITION FOR YOU - PROVIDED YOU CAN GET A PARTNER WHO FEELS THE SAME WAY!

THE NOTICE FOR THIS COMPETITION WILL BE POSTED ON THE MIXED NOTICEBOARD SOMETIME THIS WEEK AND THE MIXED CONVENORS WILL POST A CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES.

6 PEOPLE TOOK PART IN THE BEST HALLOWEEN COSTUME COMPETITION AND THE WINNERS WERE ALISON MCLAREN AND STEWART MCLAREN.  THE JUDGE WAS JOHN (WHO WORKS IN THE SHOP),  THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THE EFFORT.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO ANNE AND CATHY WHO WERE BRAVE ENOUGH TO WEAR THEIR HALLOWEEN COSTUMES ON THE GOLF COURSE.

As you know the Gents AGM is on the 27th October and a meal is being offered at a cost of £13.00.The committee has decided that the meal will follow the prize giving and not as previously indicated. If you wish to have a meal please append your name on the sheet before 1pm this Saturday 21st. If you are unable to visit the club before then but wish a meal please contact the Captain on the usual number.

HE END OF SEASON TEXAS SCRAMBLE IS ON SUNDAY 29TH OCTOBER AS 12 NOON.  THE NOTICE IS ON THE BOARD

THE FORMAT IS TWO LADIES AND A GENT OR TWO GENTS AND A LADY.  ENTRY FEE WILL BE £1.00 PER PERSON.

AS THIS IS THE END OF SEASON TEXAS SCRAMBLE AND AS IT WAS LAST YEAR,  PRETTY CLOSE TO HALLOWEEN,  THERE WILL BE A FANCY DRESS COMPETITION FOR LADIES AND GENTS.   THIS OF COURSE IS ENTIRELY OPTIONAL.   THERE WILL BE SMALL PRIZES FOR THE BEST COSTUMES.

AS THIS IS THE LAST MIXED COMPETITION OF THE YEAR IT WOULD BE GREAT IF EVERYONE IS ABLE TO STAY FOR THE CARVERY.  LET'S JUST MAKE IT A FUN DAY AT THE END OF A GREAT SEASON.

NOTICE OF CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Norse Cup

The Norse Competition was held on Sunday on a dry day. The winners being Diane McLuskey and Mark Melville with 46 points. Thanks go to the mixed organiser for a successful day.
