Captain's Day On 26th August

A reminder that Captain's Day is on Saturday 26th August. Tee times are from 7.30am and this will be followed by a one course meal courtesy of the club. The Captain will also be supplying prizes for this event. If you are playing but are unable to stay for the meal please indicate this on the draw sheet. The Captain will do the draw for this competition on Thursday 24th. If you have any questions about this post please contact the the Captain on the usual number.

Gents Invitational - 9th September 2017

This is just a wee reminder that the gents invitational day is on Saturday 9th September 2017.  The Centre have been very generous in allowing our guests courtesy of the course for the day. Following the golf, a two course meal will be available at the cost of £13.75 per head.

Prizes on the day will consist of Scratch and Handicap along with the usual spot prizes.  Any donations for the prizes will be gratefully received.

A draw sheet has been added to the gents folder to add you and your partners name and handicap, if you don't have any mates and would like to play in the event then please contact Norman Dyce on 07716884386 who may be able to pair you up with someone.

The gents invitational day is a great fun day and it would be fantastic to have a good turn out.

Announcement

The draw for Saturday's medal will be posted on Friday 11th August. As it is a Charity event the entry will be £2.00.

The monies due for the last 4 gents competitions will be available for collection from Sunday at 12.00.

The sheets will be in the folder for next months competitions (September) from Saturday.

The gents committee is always looking for members to join the committee to help out with the running of the club. If you would like to join the committee please let any of the committee know.

Help Required For 18th August

Help is required to steward the Senior Pairs Open at Strathmore on Friday 18th August .
The Centre has asked if club members could

1 Volunteer to organise the car park,
2 Help with registration of players in the morning
3 Help with the score cards input in the afternoon.

If you are able to help it would be very much appreciated. There will be a notice on the Mixed board for you to enter your name if you can help.

RESULTS J SCOTT (Printers) TROPHY

We thought we would change the format to greensomes with the gents playing from the white tees to return the scoring to reasonable scores. However, we failed miserably and were proved wrong when Diane & Gary McLuskey won the trophy with a magnificent 60.4 for the second year in a row. Well Done!

Sandy McGibbon and Gillian Allardice came second with 65.2.

Finals Day 

The finals day last Saturday saw the Club Championship Final  between Scott Robertson and Chris Flannigan. This was a hard fought match with some great golf over 36 holes. Scott won on the last green.

In the Tankard Final Mark Tinker and Eric Ritchie battled over 18 holes in a keenly fought match. Mark won this on the 18th hole.

Well done to all the players who took part in these finals.
