JUST A REMINDER THAT ENTRIES TO THE KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS CLOSE ON SUNDAY 14th.

AFTER THEN YOU CAN'T BE IN THE DRAW.

THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PAID THEIR ENTRY FEES, PLEASE PAY BEFORE YOU PLAY OR YOU WILL BE DQ'D.

ENTRIES FOR THE CATLAW COMPETITIONS ALSO NEED TO BE PAID BEFORE YOU PLAY.

THERE IS NO SWEEP OR 2's IN THE CATLAW AND YOUR £1 ENTRY INTO EACH COMPETITION DOES YOU ALL SEASON.

Captain v Vice Captain Result.

 Saturday saw our Captain's Drive in, or Captain v Vice Captain.

Captain's team were dressed in Red, with Vice in Blue.

A day of all seasons with wind, rain and sunshine, but a good spirit.

A record amount of entries this year saw a resounding victory for the Captain's side.

Below are Captain Mike Stiell, Ladies Vice Judy Goodfellow, Gents Vice Gavin Greig and Lady Captain Jane Millar.

After a good round of golf, a great buffet was put on by The Centre.

Prize winners on the day are below.

Mike and Junior Captain Conan Reid handed out the prizes.

Also on the day, our long term Treasurer has hung up her pen and calculator after many years.

Sheena Scott was presented with a gift from Mike to say thank you for all her years service.

Thank you Sheena, it was a pleasure working with you, and I'm sure Mike got a receipt for the gift.

Can you ensure your name is entered through Howdidido and your £1 Per Person entry fees are in the Gent's box.

Catlaw Competitions are £1 per competition and are played throughout the season.

Money must be paid before entering.

Here is the draw for our first of the Summer competitions, The 4 Club Challenge.

Winter League Results

 Well that's the Winter competitions over for another year.

Knockout Singles was won by Alan McHattie who beat Gavin Greig on the 18th.

Doubles was won again by Joe Wilson and Donald Nairn who won 5&3 over Michael Sword and Simon Cruickshank.

Winter League was won by Donald Nairn with his 10 best cards totalling 353 Points.

Brian Forrest was second with 344 and Phil Upperton third with 338 Points.

Well done to all that played during the winter, and see you next season.

Warning - Scottish Golf Vouchers

Anyone fortunate enough to have won a Scottish Golf Voucher last season and be awarded it at the Gent's AGM, please remember that they expire on 31st March and will be invalid after then.

USE THEM OR LOSE THEM.

Summer Season 2024

 Hello again Gents,

Time to come out of Winter slumber and look forward to the new season.

Winter League finishes on Friday, Winter Doubles has been won and Singles final is on Sunday.

Summer competitions are starting to appear on Howdidido again so start booking in.

Summer Knockouts, Singles, Doubles and Foursomes. £1 entry per person, put your envelopes in the Gent's box on the left. Entry now live on Howdidido.

Catlaw Summer Whites and Yellows are also open. One off £1 entry into each competition, put your money in the Catlaw Box (middle box)

We have the 4 Club Challenge and Leitfie Links first over a weekend then the following week we have Bogey competitions to get in the swing for Captain's Drive In to open the season.

Sign up for the Drive In and enjoy a hot / cold buffet afterwards.

First counting competitions are the Stablefords on 6th April with for the first time, Yellows out before the Whites, we'll see how that goes.

Any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Anyway, hit it long and straight and enjoy the new season at Strathmore Golf Club.

Winter Knockouts

 Hi Gents

Due to the wet and frosty conditions, meaning that the course hasn’t been able to fully open, the Gents committee have decided to extend the Winter Singles Knockout Round 2 until 28-01-24.
The Winter Doubles Knockout Quarter Finals will also be extended to 28-01-24.
Please try to arrange your ties as soon as the course goes back to 18 holes,
