Collins Trophy Mixed Competition

The entry sheet for the above competition is now on the notice board . This competition is a mixed four ball better ball. The competition is on Sunday 16th April, tee off time 12 noon. The entry fee is £3.00 per couple.

If you do not have a partner and would like to play please add your name to the notice and we will do our best to get you a game.

If you would like to stay for the carvery after the game please put a tick against your name and we will book a table. Any questions regarding this post please contact either of the mixed secretaries.

Mixed Knock Out Competition

The closing date for the above competition will be on Captain's Day, the 1st April 2017. If you wish to enter the competition but do not have a partner please put your name on the sheet and the mixed conveners will do their best to get you a partner.

Summer Competitions

The Summer Competitions are almost upon us. ( Well 5 weeks away) So to ease the winter blues the competition sheets for all of April have been placed in the Summer Competitions Folder. This includes the Captain's Drive In. Also included are the knock out sheets for the Summer singles , doubles and foursomes. Please ensure that the relevant entry fee is placed in the box. If you do not have a handicap you can still enter provided your have submitted 3 cards to obtain a handicap prior to the closing date. THE CLOSING DATE FOR THOSE COMPETITIONS WILL BE 16TH APRIL 2017. GARY McLUSKEY HAS BEEN ELECTED TO THE MEN'S COMMITTEE AND IS NOW THE MIXED CONVENOR FOR THE MEN.  GARY HAS A LOT OF GOOD IDEAS FOR MIXED COMPETITIONS SO BETWEEN US WE HOPE TO MAKE THE MIXED COMPETITIONS AS ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE.

AT THE END OF LAST YEAR 30 PLAYERS PARTICIPATED IN A MIXED COMPETITION.  IF WE COULD GRADUALLY  (OR MAYBE QUICKLY) INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN THE MIXED COMPETITIONS THAT WOULD BE REALLY TERRIFIC.

We thought it would be a good idea to have another mixed competition some time in February
but we will have to find out the availability of tee times etc.  A blog will be posted in plenty of time as will a notice with date, time and format.

I AM EXPECTING A LAST MINUTE RUSH FOR THE CHRISTMAS MIXED TEXAS SCRAMBLE.  THE THOUGHT OF MINCE PIES AND MULLED WINE BEFORE WE PLAY MUST SURELY OUTWEIGH THE THOUGHT OF PLAYING IN THE COLD, WIND AND RAIN.
