IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IN THE MIXED WINTER MATCH PLAY KNOCKOUT COMPETITION WHICH WILL BE PLAYED OVER THE WINTER COURSE, THERE WILL BE A NOTICE ON THE BOARD ON SATURDAY. 

I CAN'T THINK OF A  BETTER WAY TO SPEND A MORNING OR AFTERNOON PLAYING MATCH PLAY GOLF IN THE RAIN, FREEZING COLD AND WIND!  HOPEFULLY LOTS OF YOU WILL THINK THE SAME AND RUSH TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE BOARD.

WINTER LEAGUE

A reminder from the Committee that the Winter League starts this Sunday 23rd October.and lasts 21 weeks. Good grief. Please ensure that you have paid your entry fee prior to entering the league. Any questions about this post please contact the newly elected committee.

I HOPE YOU WILL ALL PLAY IN THE TWO TEXAS SCRAMBLES COMING UP SOON.  THE FIRST IS ON SATURDAY 22ND OCTOBER AT 10.00 AND IS IN AID OF AIR AMBULANCE.  ENTRY FEE WILL BE £2.00 PER PERSON.   IF YOU CAN'T PLAY IN THIS COMPETITION YOU MIGHT LIKE TO DONATE TO THIS VERY WORTHWHILE CAUSE.    THERE WILL BE PRIZES.

Winter League

The Winter League will be starting on 23rd October and I have attached the Winter Competition Rules below. The Winter Knock Out competition sheets together with the Winter League Entry sheet will be placed in the Winter folder this week. A good day was had by all. The winners were Fred Barber and Diane McLuskey. Well done. Fred's comment to me after the round was 'cant believe I played so well' I personally think Diane is a great motivator.

Wooden Spoon

THE WOODEN SPOON (LADIES AGAINST GENTS) IS THE ONLY TROPHY THAT NOBODY WANTS TO WIN!

THIS YEAR IT WAS A DRAW LADIES 2 1/2 - GENTS 2 -1/2 SO SANDRA AND FRED HAD A PUTTING COMPETITION ON THE 18TH GREEN (SANDRA IN HER FLIP-FLOPS). THERE WAS A GREAT BATTLE AND AT THE FIFTH AND FINAL ATTEMPT FRED WON WHICH MEANT THAT YET AGAIN THE LADIES WON THE WOODEN SPOON.  MAYBE NEXT YEAR!!!

Gents Invitation Draw

Gents Invitation Day

The Gents Invitation Day on Saturday will no longer have a 2 tee start. This is due to the numbers entered. The first tee time will be 9.30am. A two course meal will be provided after the round at a cost of £13.50 per person. There will 3 spot prizes to be decided by the Vice Captain and vouchers for the winners and runners up. The competition will be 4 ball better ball and the handicap will adjusted to 90% of full. The draw will be posted tomorrow  night. Any questions to the Vice Captain on the usual number.
