CAPTAIN'S DRIVE-IN DRAW

Saturday sees the start of the new season with the annual Drive-In by the Club's Lady and Gents Captain. The bragging rights are up for grabs as the CAPTAINS challenge the VICE CAPTAINS.
The Captains will drive off the first ball at 10.45am and we all hope they are up the middle.
No nerves insight, but I believe the Gents Captain has had a few sleepless nights lately (actually they started last November after the AGM when he started to think about the Drive-In).

Good Luck and enjoy your season and may all your putts be for birdies!

MAIL ON SUNDAY TEAM RESULT

Strathmore Gents played hosts to local rivals Alyth Golf Club in the Mail on Sunday Team Competition today and came off victors in the match.
Results were:
Rory Tinker won 4 & 3
Chris Flannigan lost 3 & 2
Scott Thomson halved match
Kevin James lost 2 & 1
Norman Dyce won 1up

Norman proceeded to the first extra hole to decide the match and produced an excellent birdie to book Strathmore a place in the second round of the competition. Considering Alyth made it to the semi final of this competition last year this was an excellent result for Strathmore.
