We have been drawn at home for this one against Pitlochry and require to field a team of five for this match. The competition rules dictate that we need to have at least one player from each handicap category. To remind you the category breakdown is.

CAPTAIN'S DRIVE-IN
NERVOUS SMILES! before the big hit!

Over 70 members enjoyed an excellent day on Saturday as we witnessed the usual nervous Captain's Drive-In, but we are pleased to announce both Captain's performed to the highest level. Congratulations must go to the Vice Captain's Team in defeating the Captain's Team by the narrowest of margins. Above is the Gents and Lady Captain's action shot!
Below is Joan & Iain McCouig who have sold the Captain's Flags at the Drive-In for a number of years and have finally said that this is their last year. The Club wishes to thank them for their help on this day over the years.

Mail on Sunday Match versus St Michaels
A Strathmore Gents team of Scott Thomson, Iain Butchart, Mark Tinker, Jerry Wood and Donald Thomson took on a strong team from St Michaels on Saturday in the Mail on Sunday competition.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED
S.L.G.A. Under 16 Open Stroke Play Championship
Strathmore Golf Centre plays host for this prestigious event from the 8th - 9th April and volunteers are being requested to help. 102 of the best under 16 year old girl golfers from all over the UK are taking part. The SLGA will be providing live internet scoring via GolfBox. Scores will be taken from players after every three holes. Volunteers will take these from the competitors and then radio these to the Live Scoring Base Station in the SLGA tournament office. Training in the use of the radio's will be provided. Help will alse be required with car parking etc.
If you want to come along to help please put your name on the sign up list which is just inside the front door of the club house, stating the dates you can help.
Non Members are more than welcome to help, so if you know of anybody who would be interested in volunteering, please add their name to the list.
Should be a great couple of days with some fabulous golf to watch.

You will be drawn in either the Captain's Team or the Vice Captain's team and the challenge is then laid down and may the better team win!

KNOCK OUT COMPETITIONS 2010
The Entry Sheets for the Knockout Competitions (i.e. Single, Doubles & Foursomes) have been put on the noticeboard. The closing date for entries is the 27th March. No entries will be taken after this date. All entry money must be paid before the closing date. The Entry Sheet for the Mixed Doubles Knockout is on the Mixed Noticeboard.
