 Strathmore League Result | Strathmore GC 3 - 3 Arbroath Artisan GC

The team started with a positive result in our first Strathmore League match of the season versus Arbroath on Tuesday 21st May. It was a solid performance by everyone in the team against a tough Arbroath.

Despite difficult away conditions with the haar rolling in as the evening went on, we managed to win 2 of the 3 matches. At home the team put up a spirited performance but unfortunately marginally lost out 2-1 at home, resulting in a 3-3 draw overall.

A solid start and looking forward to building on the first match when we face Piperdam on 11th June. Thanks everyone for their efforts.

Thank you for everyone's support for this years Strathmore League.  Its extremely encouraging to see so many names being put forward to represent and support the club!  Unfortunately, given there are so many players keen to play, it inevitably means that we cannot accommodate everyone for each match. 

 

If you haven't managed to get a match on this occasion, it is our intention to ensure everyone that has put forward their availability for each match gets to play as many matches as possible. 

 

Our first match is against Arbroath GC with 3 pairs playing and home and 3 pairs away from home.  With first tee times on both courses at 1700hrs sharp.

 

Please remember to bring £5.00 cash and following the match there will be soup & sandwiches put on by both clubs for the players.
