President's Day Sweep / 2's Winners

 

Mixed Texas Scramble Result

 There were eight teams taking part in today's Mixed Texas Scramble. 

All teams came in under par with the winners being Mike Duffy,  Bruce Redden and Diane McLuskey with a net 59.0. 

In second place were Graham Haynes, Sandra Barber and Louise McCann with net 60.8.

Next mixed competition will be the I &D Insurance Shield on the 3rd of August.

 It was a challenging / blustery but dry day that welcomed nearly 80 members to  President's Day.

Our President Fred Barber led off at the first and almost won the trophy at the end!!

SCOTT THOMSON WAS RUNNER UP WITH 310.

WELL DONE TO MIKE STIELL WITH A BLISTERING 65 TODAY TO WIN THE NET WITH A SCORE OF 293, WINNING ON COUNT BACK OVER MARK MELVILLE.

WELL DONE TO DENIS ELERAY ON WINNING THE 36 HOLE COMPETITION WITH A SCORE OF 139.

RUNNER UP WITH A SCORE OF 140 WAS MYSELF.

Strathmore League

 

Our second match of the season in the Strathmore League is against Kirriemuir Golf Club with the below team chosen to represent the club both home & away on Tuesday 24th June. Thanks for all those who have put their names forward to participate, much appreciated. Unfortunately we started with a defeat to Kingennie GC in our last match but still time to get the wins we need to make the semi-finals. Soup & sandwiches will be provided both at Strathmore & Kirriemuir following the matches.  An £8 contribution will be collected by Gavin at home, and by Blair away. The format is 4BBB with strokes taken from the lowest man ff the white tees (Please note that this season there is a MAXIMUM OF 6 SHOTS given to any player) Play well and good luck!
